Sasuke’s enhanced speed and taijutsu skills enable him to bypass Gaara’s sand-based defenses with ease, as Rock Lee did previously. Determined to kill Sasuke, Gaara retreats inside a sphere of sand and begins to transform.

Episode 67: “Late for the Show, but Ready to Go! The Ultimate Secret Technique is Born!”
To break through Gaara’s defense, Sasuke uses his new jutsu, Chidori. With it, Sasuke is able to pierce Gaara’s shield, stopping his transformation. At that moment, Kabuto Yakushi uses a genjutsu to put the audience to sleep, signaling the start of Konoha’s invasion.

Sora refuses to let Furido destroy the village despite his grudge against Asuma and the Hokage. He is beaten up by Furido, who claims that his father had a similar flaw. Asuma gets trapped by Kitane in a force field of lightning. Meanwhile, Yamato and Sakura kill their opponents, and Shikamaru heads to the battlefield with a plan to defeat the zombies. Just as he puts it into motion, however, Fuen’s barrier falls and Fudo’s revival technique ends, and the zombies turn to dust.
