Yamato suggests that Sai’s true objective was to kill Sasuke, who is a threat to Konoha, on Danzo’s behalf. Sai then approaches Sasuke’s room and unintentionally awakens him, causing him to try and restrain him. Sasuke retalliates by causing a giant explosion. Sakura arrives and tries to restrain Sai, hoping to discern his true mission, but she stops after hearing Sasuke’s voice. Naruto joins Sakura and glances up at his former friend. Sai then declares that he now wishes to bring Sasuke back to Konoha.
Episode 52: “The Power of the Uchiha”
Sasuke begins to attack Naruto, but Sai intervenes. Sasuke then blows them both out of his way via his Chidori Stream. Sakura decides to charge at Sasuke, but Yamato jumps in front of her and winds up being stabbed by Sasuke’s Chidori-infused katana. The Nine-Tailed Fox then attempts to goad Naruto with its power, but he refuses it. Sasuke, using his Sharingan, appears in Naruto’s consciousness. The Nine-Tails states that Sasuke’s chakra reminds him of Madara Uchiha, before being suppressed.
